Echoes of the Earth is a journey into: nature's rhythms, herbal remedies and stories inspired by the Earth.

It feels only fitting that Venus Power is the first remedy I tell a story about. This elixir embodies spring, the opposite season we’re currently in—I love thinking about opposites and the spectrum of life and psychology (if you’ve ever talked to me or received a reading from me, you know). Venus Power is our elixir that tastes like nectar from a flower, like the Earth waking up to the sun’s warmth after the long cold season. It embodies the ripening energy of the Strawberry Moon. Many of you are familiar with this product and have waited long for it to become available again. Well, it's back!

This year, we changed the blend just a bit. For one, it’s vegan and contains no honey (like our other elixirs). We did this to capture and highlight the harvested flowers. We also added a few different botanical roots to boost the nutrition of this juicy, delicious elixir.

Marshmallow root has several uses, but we chose this soothing root for its moisture-boosting effects. It softens and heals the body’s inflamed, raw, and sore areas—think dehydrated areas, gut, skin, and urinary tract. It complements the impact of the flowers and strawberries in this blend.

Hawthorn and roses because enough of you have asked for a rose elixir over the years, and I just couldn’t swing it, but this year, I tapped into my stock of aromatic organic roses and added Vola. We’ve done it.

On an energetic level, these herbal additions are inspired by Soft Power, a concept I’ve been working with since Spring (I even hosted a retreat with this name). Keeping our hearts open, curious, and soft allows space for our intuitive nature to keep presenting itself to us. In my reality, when I feel empowered and connected to my soul and heart, the truth of being powerful is present and fuels sovereignty and reciprocity and I feel spiritually whole.

Venus Power is a reflection of a complete cycle in nature, crafted with flowers from the farm that bloom once a year (if we’re lucky). Many of our remedies go beyond sourcing ethical and responsible ingredients. They rely on the natural processes of annual bushes and trees, planting seeds, watching them grow, harvesting, processing the plant to extract its herbal constituents, and finally bottling it into the products you know, love, and trust.

Weaving in my connection with nature often feels mundane, but it’s probably because I thrive on silence and witnessing nature’s poetics. Being in and with nature is my form of meditation. Years ago, a friend and I were walking high up in Colorado talking about meditation; I was asking her what it meant to her as an older woman than I, and she said simply, this is a meditation, being awed by nature, being mindful of the steps we’re taking, having an awareness of the abundance of life all around us, in the water, trees, wind, sun and its shadows, and all the creatures. As I write this, we have the windows in our home open to extend this ritual meditation and keep our hearts open and as one with the natural world around us.

Venus Power is like opening the window to your heart. It’s a sensual experience that weaves these flowers’ mythic, planetary, and herbal wisdom, which aids in boundaries, protection, and deep work while inspiring the lover’s heart. Venus Power, as the name suggests, is an ally for magnetizing and manifesting powers, so dream big and let this elixir bring you into a ritual moment through its flavor and function.
